The Uchiha clan (うちは一族, Uchiha Ichizoku) was one of the four noble clans of Konohagakure,[1] and was also reputed to be the village's most powerful clan,[2] producing shinobi that were exceptionally talented and battle-oriented. Together with the Senju clan, they founded Konohagakure.

The Uchiha clan are rumored to be descended from the elder of the two sons of the Sage of the Six Paths. The elder brother inherited the Sage's "eyes", powerful chakra and spiritual energies.

The clan itself is known for their ties to fire. For a clan ninja to be seen as an adult, they must be able to utilize a Katon (Fire Element) jutsu such as Goukakyuu no Jutsu. Thus is the tie between the manipulation of fire and the mind of an Uchiha member. This bond with fire is said to make them just like flames themselves easily combustible and capable of producing very strong emotions, due to this most members of the clan choose not to form too many strong bonds for the added pain that the breaking of a such a bond could cause them.

The Uchiha Clan has been through some rough times and had to survive a massacre at the hands of Uchiha Obito , a powerful missing nin who betrayed both the Village and his Clan and was responsible for multiple Kyuubi attacks on the Village. However the two heirs to the Clan Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Sasuke managed to track down the criminal through Itachi infiltrating his group of Akatsuki. The two brothers defeated Obito killing him as Nagato of the Rain would take over leadership of Akatsuki after Obito's demise. Itachi decided to stay in the group as an infiltrator while his brother returned to the village to take lead of the Uchiha Clan and make sure their numbers would grow once more.

During the 4th Shinobi World War Itachi would reveal his identity to Akatsuki as a spy of Konoha he would help the 5th Hokage (Senju Tsunade) fight the group's leader and chase other members out of the Village. However he appears to have been unsuccessful in protecting the Hokage's life. However he was rather successful in using his powerful abilities to protect Konohagakure and eventually have the village triumph greatly in the war.

His sacrifices have not been left unnoticed by the people and though despite some distrust for him long-time disappearance from the village and his spying activities. But once his position became publicly known and his heroic acts praised Uchiha Itachi would gain the title of 6th Hokage after the war, leaving his younger brother Sasuke in charge of the Clan.

The members of the Uchiha Clan have a very strong connection to the fire element and as such every Uchiha must take on the Katon Affinity at start without exceptions.

This exceptional control over fire-type chakra gives them a discount of 2 points of chakra for every Katon technique they perform and allows them to manipulate fire techniques as if their Chakra Control Skill was 1 rank higher than it is for the purpose of fire manipulation. It also grants a + 1 HP damage bonus. This is automatically calculated on your character page

It also takes the Uchiha Clan members only half the time and CP to learn Katon Jutsu. This in essence is the Main Clan power of the Uchiha Clan.

However hidden beneath that lies the Blaze Element of the Black Flames of Amaterasu which are spawned by the Mangekyō Sharingan. These flames are a stronger more lively form of fire that only members of the Uchiha Clan have been known how to manipulate. To be exact only 2 members of the Uchiha Clan are currently known to be able to manipulate these flames as even Uchiha Itachi nor Uchiha Madara have been shown to posses this ability.

Sharingan - Copy Wheel Eye

The Clan Special of the Uchiha Clan is the ability to activate the Sharingan Eye Technique. However not all members of this Clan can activate it. And no member of the Clan gets the Sharingan at birth.

To activate the Sharingan one must perform a Side-quest or at the decision of a combat Judge you may receive it during a fierce battle.
When this happens the Judge decides what Level of Sharingan you start at. If it's outside of battle this cannot be higher than level 1.

It is speculated yet unknown for certain what exactly awakens the Sharingan or what gives it a higher form.

The Sharingan's abilities consist of two parts: the "Eye of Insight" (洞察眼, Dōsatsugan) and the "Eye of Hypnotism" (催眠眼, Saimingan). The first of the Sharingan's powers is being able to see the flow of chakra. The Sharingan itself gives colour to chakra, allowing the wielder to differentiate them. They are also able to tell if a person is under a genjutsu because the person's chakra flow would be irregular. The Sharingan's second-most prominent ability grants the user an incredible clarity of perception, allowing them to easily recognize genjutsu and different forms of chakra, though not to the same extent as the Byakugan. This also allows the user to pick up on subtle details, enabling them to read lip movements or mimic something like pencil movements. As the Sharingan evolves, gaining more tomoe, this ability extends to being able to track fast-moving objects before finally giving some amount of predictive capabilities to the user, allowing them to see the image of an attacker's next move from the slightest muscle tension in their body and counter-attack or dodge without any wasted movement. However, even though the user may be able to see an attack or know it is coming, their body may not always have time to react.

The Sharingan's third and most well-known ability is that it grants the user the ability to copy almost any technique that he or she witnesses, apart from other kekkei genkai techniques. The user can memorize ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu with near-perfect accuracy, allowing the user to use the techniques as their own. In order to reproduce a copied technique, however, one must have the necessary skill or ability to perform them.

The Sharingan's final commonly-used ability is capable of inducing a unique brand of hypnosis that involves suggesting actions and thoughts to the opponent through genjutsu cast by simple eye contact between both parties. More advanced Sharingan users can take the hypnosis ability even further to the point where a powerful summon or even a tailed beast may be controlled.
