But you forget also that not every individual is an 'individual' .
That is why they call this the 'days of the living dead' , because that line never refered to zombies, although zombie movies and stories were inspired by this.
It refers to people who are physically alive, but on the inside are dead, dead, because they don't grow or make their own choices, they are no diffrent from driftwood in a streaming river, going wherever the flow my direct them.
And then people make it really unpleasant for you NOT to go with the flow, until most cave in, and going along with it long enough will likewise transform you and your offspring into equal living-dead.
But it's like you say, the man says 'Loving boobs and ass is manly' .....so people who are insecure about the things they like try to immitate that in order to get positive feedback.
That's why you should always be yourself. Otherwise you're helping this process along.
