Character Music Box

Ladies and gentleman, as I might have already said.
One of the biggest inspirations for me when making characters, getting into character and writing story are songs, music, lyrics, poetry....sounds that awaken these emotions in me so I can feel them myself.

To this end I believe I am not the only one inspired by music.
And at the very least some of you have probably found a song or two that made you think of your character.

Here are some songs currently inspiring me and/or my character's or my approach towards YOUR characters.

As for Nomaru:
I have no clue. Probably every grunge/punkrocksong ever.

This needs edit. In my muse obsession I came across this number by Muse.

The song kinda represents her past, present and future, about how she does not want this, never wanted it to begin with. It's kinda symbolic but I like it. And of course the name of this song: "Puberty in a nutshell." ;D

Almost forgot....Nadleeh's song.

The new players dunno her yet and won't meet her for a while I guess.
But she is the wife of Inuzuka Faolan.
And this song is one of the reasons why Faolan is in a way..owned! XD

I know what Houtarou's is! (Maybe a bit too obvious, but still.) It's a happy song.

To be honest I don't have a clue what I could pick myself. His personality is sometimes a little inconsistent because of how he was put together, haha. He ended up being kinda like a Goku from DBZ. Regular kind guy but when shit gets serious he gets serious too. He isn't nearly as strong as Goku though, haha!

Lol it definitely fits with the dogs Hina, haha! That should be 'Houtarou and his dog squad' theme. ;P

For Tenshi... Hmm hard. But I guess this will do.

Houtarou, I find it very hard to find good songs to fit my characters as well. Sometimes I'm like "yeah, well, this fits, but only this one aspect of my character"
And in my opinion, that's not a bad thing. You say that your character is sometimes a bit "inconsistent", but there are so many more sides to humans than just one! And that might be seen as "inconsistent", but I call it "having a personality". So, yeah. Things and stuff.

I came across butterflies and hurricanes, getting back into my love for MUSE (because Muse is earporn). It kinda was an accident that the lyrics spoke to me so much for Nomaru. It (still) seems fitting for her, so myeah. One day you'll find something that's like: EHRMAGHERT, THIS IS SOOOO [insert characters name here]

IRL people don't just have one character aspect but multiple. I'm not always serious but also not always jolly or any other character trait by nature. Some traits are more dominant than others though. Anime characters often have one personality trait extaggerated. But that's also parts of what makes the shows fun, because you can identify with that trait or understand the character I guess.

Also, cool themes Tenshi and all the others!

Exactly, and that's why we play characters and not type's on here...a character has many sides, but is consistent to them, but also his sides can shift and he/she has the ability to change completely as a result of events.

Basically, Akira is headed down a path of self destruction, with the way she practices her shinobi career and her negative emotions that are being fed by her tengu. She doesn't realize it yet, but once she does she'll have to turn it off, change the way she lives and go down a different path in life, and that will be immensely difficult.

I think this fits Torame's character. Of course, I haven't really interacted with Torame IC or OC that much. (If any, actually.) But this seems to fit with the things that I do know about IC-Torame.
