General Personality Outline:

Amaya is a rather strange girl, most often called ‘weird’ by her classmates. Though, this doesn't stop the girl from being as social as she possibly can, often going out of her way to try and make new friends and continue to keep strong relationships with her old friends. While she is nice enough to be around, some may find her a little off-putting with no particular behind it. Her looks seem to mark her as something of a weakling, though when she feels like it this young girl can be quite an intimidating little thing.

Amaya is a perfect listener. She has a sense of people and their feelings, maybe from her time studying the art of Genjutsu. Studying is her major past-time, when she isn’t out at the market place looking for something nice and shiny to add to her collection, she will usually be found reading. Be it actual study or a novel, she loves to open up a good book and read an afternoon away. In fact she tends to carry around her own little notebook so she can write down her thoughts or anything interesting that she might come by during the day.

Character Background:

Amaya’s life didn’t begin in the arid desert of Sunagakure, but rather in the misty plains of Kiri, where her father had grown up and met her mother. She never knew him very much, but according to her mother he was a dangerous man involved in something she wasn’t going to allow her daughter to ever be involved in. So, only a few short years of life and the little girl with the light blonde hair and stunning red eyes were on the run. The running didn’t stop, not for a long time in fact, they settled in various towns and small villages, only for her mother to get them to up and leave once more. It was a confusing life for such a young girl, who seemed more interested in her reading than where they were going to sleep for the night.

Eventually, their travels lead them into the vast reaches of the desert, it wasn’t a kind place out here but Amaya’s mother was certain that they’d be safe. She was almost right, though it seemed that she had been tracked down, days walking through the hot sun and enduring the cold nights, she had been tracked by hired thugs... that planned on taking the pair back home. Be it luck or simply good timing, the thugs never got a chance to go through with their mission. The second they had pulled the young Amaya out of her mother’s arms and held a blade to her throat a talented shinobi from Sunagakure quickly settled the situation.

The shinobi had never been named, in fact after he had saved them not only from the thugs but the scorching heat of the desert by taking them back to the village they never heard from him again. Thus began Amaya’s new life, one where she was tied down to a single house and things started to become… normal. Though ever since that brave young man had saved them both, she couldn’t help but want to be like him, a brave ninja in service to the hidden sand village.

Years went by, Amaya’s mother opened up a small shop and the girl herself was actually allowed to train in the academy. While she wasn’t born there, she seemed to catch on to the ways of the village rather quickly. Learning the major clans and the skills that she would need to become a successful shinobi, so she could live up to her dreams. She lacked the talent she had hoped though, grasping the most simple of ninjutsu and the basics of hand-to-hand combat. It was looking grim until she found out about the art of Genjutsu.

Like something had clicked in her mind, Amaya was hooked, grasping advanced concepts and understanding things that many other shinobi would never even bother with. It became something of an obsession really; she went out of her way to find the books and the older and wiser shinobi that would talk to her. She had found her calling and with it, she felt that the day she would become a ninja for her beloved city was so close she could practically taste it.

Upon making eye-contact, the user forms their hand-seal and should the target fail to resist they will begin to see the user in a darkened, creepier state. To everyone other than the target the user will look completely normal and thus they are unaffected.

Note that Flaws and Merrits aren't simply abilities to get more stats and perks, they define your character personality and idealogy as well. So I'm afraid this contradiction just can't be ^^

I didn't take 'socialising' as a skill, but she's good at the other aspects of social interaction.

Your custom is a bit too strong as it stands for it's rank, we suggest this:

Change it's effects to: every turn this genjutsu is active, the cost of kai to dispell genjutsu is increased by 1

Unfortunately my predecessor was a bit to quick in the approval of your character.
The problem is, that the way you describe the Known Anathema in your bg is not sufficient. It is what a special hidden BG is.

With the Known Anathema flaw, your character needs to be hunted because he or she is renowned throughout the countries for, so parties would form willing to obtain it from the player.
I am afraid that mercenaries send by your father just will not cut it.
In this case, it does not pose a sufficient threat.

This is mostly because you also selected the Special Hidden Background Flaw, which covers the same problems for your character.
If you had just the KA flaw, I would have asked you to change it to SHB, but unfortunately you have both. We need to work out a solution them, but until then the permission is revoked.

If the three problems with Tenebris, Amaya and Kazuo are solved, then a topic within the 2nd event will be opened for you, as well as character profiles made.
We will however need to resolve those three issues beforehand.

I suggest the flaw be reworded. Because as it stands; The character possesses something of interest to a group outside of his/her affiliation. This group will eventually try to hunt them to obtain this. . Implies that a single group wants to take what they have somehow.

Anyway, I've decided that because she has a ridiculous skill in the art of Genjutsu (A ranking skill with two specialities, the prodigy merit and a 10 in the genjutsu stat). She would be known outside of the village for her abilities and I can see some sort of group wanting to take control of her power.
